I met Kim through another friend who had just used her as her doula and talked about how amazing she was. I was pregnant with my first child and wanted to have a natural birth, I was going back and forth about having a doula because I had read about them, but really had no clue. I felt my friends post was a sign!
From the first time we met I felt so comfortable with Kim, she always welcomed me with a warm hug and smile. Kim was so easy to talk with and listened to and helped me plan everything for our birth. Bonus to having her as my doula, she is also certified in prenatal massage!!
Fast forward a few weeks and all our birth plans were out the window! I was 38w1d when I drove into work at the hospital thinking it would be a normal day, I was so wrong! I was having contractions that morning but thought it they would settle down, they didn’t! By 10:45 I was in L&D and told we were in full labor, a coworker called Kim for me because by that time, I was feeling the labor, and Kim was there before I knew it!
Our baby girl was born just after 1pm that day, beautiful and healthy! Our birth plan went completely out the window because she came on her time and we had a little scare due to dystocia but Kim was fantastic through it all!! Not only was she helping me but my biggest concern for the birth was someone being there for my husband and she help him guide and support me!
There is no doubt in my mind that God placed Kim in my path and she has been a constant presence in our life since the birth!!
She will be the BEST decision you can make for your upcoming birth!

I was initially on the fence about hiring a doula for my birth but after meeting with Kim for the first time, it was a done deal. My husband and I felt confident in her experience, knowledge, passion for birth and babies, and friendliness from the start! After that initial meeting, she assured me that I could contact her and I never felt like I was bothering her with questions or concerns I wanted to discuss with her. She brought up topics and discussions that my husband and I didn’t think to have on our own and definitely helped us plan and prepare for the birth we wanted. I totally appreciated her thoroughness and involvement as she went on call for us 2 weeks before my due date. She checked in with me, helped me to relax and feel at peace as I passed my due date, and gave me great tips and supplies to help induce labor naturally! After a couple of days of start and stop labor she helped my husband and I make the call of when to head to the hospital. By the time we got there, Kim was waiting for us at the entrance and supported me through check-in and getting into our room as I was very much in active labor and couldn’t speak through my contractions. I was surprised that I had back labor and SO grateful that Kim was there to support me through it all! I truly couldn’t have made it through labor without an epidural and interventions if Kim and my husband weren’t there. Kim eased my back pain with massage, counter pressure, pointing the warm water from the shower head on my back, and hip squeezes. She also had great ideas for different positions for me to labor in that I know made my labor quicker than if I had just laid on the hospital bed. She also was such a great coach in making sure I was breathing effectively in low deep exhales. I told Kim that I truly hope we still live in the area when I have my next baby because I couldn’t have imagined our birthing experience without her! My husband and I were so grateful for her throughout our whole process and couldn’t recommend her services enough!

When I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted an all-natural uninterrupted unmediated birth. When I found Kim I knew she was the Doula for my husband and I. How did I know you may ask? Kim was very knowledgeable about being a Doula and also understanding of previous trauma from my first labor experience. Kim was a simple call or text message away and always had amazing resources if needed. Her birth plan outline helped me with things I did and didn’t want. The day I went into labor my husband was out of town but my amazing Doula Kim was right there she even beat me to the hospital! She helped get me Checked In and settled into my room. She had my Birth Plan in hand and set the calming environment that I needed! Kim’s empowering words of encouragement and relaxing back rubs to ease the pain is what got me through it. In the midst of it all, she kept my husband informed and she managed to capture this special moment and I am forever grateful.

My only regret is that I didn’t find Kim sooner. Let’s start from the beginning…first let me say, that I was really on the fence about whether to hire a doula or not. I was already in my 3rd trimester and had handled the ups and downs of pregnancy by myself quite well. I was roughly 37 weeks when I thought I might be in labor in the middle of the night and a huge cloud of fear washed over me. I was frozen in fear, I had no idea what to do or expect and I just panicked. It was a false labor but that fear struck me hard and I quickly realized that I wanted to look into a doula. I reached out to Kim and she promptly met with me within a few days. Upon first meeting her, I immediately felt a sigh of relief. She had such a warm personality and I could tell she genuinely cared about me from the first moment we met. From that moment on, she checked in with me almost daily. She kept me calm and positive. We were trying for a VBAC delivery and she became my second voice. She helped me advocate for myself and my husband to achieve the birth we wanted. She offered tips and tricks to help get me into labor and when it came time to head to the hospital, Kim was there bright and early with her peanut ball and that amazing positive attitude! We had a very long labor but there is no way I could have managed it without her. She was not only there to support me but to also support my husband. She helped us advocate through the entire process. After nearly 36 hours of labor, it was recommended to do a repeat c-section. We were all devastated but knew that we had fought hard and tried everything to try achieve the VBAC. She stayed by my side until they wheeled me into the OR, keeping me positive and supporting me. Even after, she was in contact with my husband the entire time, getting updates and making sure we had everything we needed. She even hooked us up with the best lactation consultant! It was truly an amazing experience to have her there by my side through it all. I know that we did everything in our power to try and have a VBAC thanks to Kim. She was on my side supporting me through it all and even after! Again, my only regret is that I didn’t hire her sooner.

I am beyond grateful to have had Kim there as a support person for the birth of our first child. My husband and I went through the 10-week Birth Boot Camp Classes, and I knew from the knowledge I gained there that hiring her as my doula would help me achieve the birth I had envisioned for myself. During labor, Kim's calming presence provided a sense of comfort that was invaluable. Her knowledge of various birthing techniques, breathing exercises, and pain management strategies proved instrumental in navigating the challenges of labor. Kim was a pillar of strength, offering encouragement and support to both myself and my partner, creating a serene atmosphere in which we felt empowered and in control.
Her commitment extended beyond the birthing room. Kim continued to provide postpartum support, offering guidance on breastfeeding, newborn care, and emotional well-being. Her genuine care for the well-being of our growing family was evident in every interaction.
She took the time to understand our preferences, fears, and hopes, creating a personalized birth plan that reflected our desires for this significant moment. Going intervention-free was extremely important to me and we could not have done it without her, so if you are aspiring to do the same, I cannot recommend Kim enough!

*from the Father’s POV
It is with immense gratitude and joy to express the profound impact Kim had on the birth of our first child. From the moment we met Kim, her warmth, compassion, and expertise put us at ease during a time that was both exciting and nerve-wracking.
Kim's unwavering support throughout the entire birthing process was nothing short of exceptional. Kim was not just a doula; she became a trusted companion, guiding us with reassurance and empowerment.
One of Kim's greatest strengths lies in her ability to adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of childbirth. Her intuition and experience allowed her to anticipate our needs before we even expressed them. Whether it was a gentle massage to ease discomfort, a word of encouragement during a challenging moment, or simply a reassuring smile, Kim's presence brought a sense of calm to what could have been an overwhelming experience.
In reflection, our journey to parenthood was profoundly enriched by Kim's expertise, empathy, and unwavering support. We cannot thank her enough for being an integral part of this transformative experience. If you are seeking a doula who combines professionalism with genuine care, look no further than Kim. Her dedication to facilitating positive birthing experiences is nothing short of remarkable, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her by our side during this special time.

When I got pregnant, I started doing some research and quickly realized that I wanted to have an unmedicated birth. I knew this would be a challenge, and my care provider indicated that I would have a better chance of success with a doula’s help. I didn’t really know what a doula was, but when I met Kim, I immediately felt comfortable with her. She was knowledgeable, kind, assertive, and accommodating. She was all those things all the way through the birth of our son. She helped me be confident in my choice to go natural, encouraging me in my belief that my body was made to give birth. She also helped calm my husband’s fears before and during the birth, enabling him to be a strong presence in the birth room. During labor, Kim told me how to breathe and what positions to move into to be the most efficient and minimize pain when possible. I know I would have caved and gotten an epidural if she had not been with me giving me this encouragement and instruction. I am so happy I was able to meet my goal of having a natural birth, and thankful for the relationship with Kimberly that came about as a result. She is an excellent doula and a wonderful person! —SH
Kim is an amazing doula and was an invaluable asset during the birth process. From the very beginning she emphasized that a doula should not be replacing the husband during labor, but is a third team member there to support both mom and dad. There are many dads out there who may feel like they do not play a big role in this process and therefore do not need support or help during labor. This could not be further from the truth. I was very active helping my wife during labor and my capabilities as a support for her were accentuated by Kim. She of course focused on my wife, especially during contractions, but in between made sure to check on me and make sure I was taking care of myself so that I could be a better support for my wife. When the labor became more intense for my wife, Kim saw that it was hard for me to see my wife experiencing difficult contractions. During this time, Kim took the time to check on me and ensure that I felt supported. She did not say much, but she didn't have to - her calm presence during that time was comfort that is difficult to describe but that I know only a mother can provide. Picking your birth team is an incredibly important decision - Kim is an amazing choice and I know that if she is available, she will be there for all of our children being born. —SC
Kim was an amazing doula for us! Kim was an incredible support for not just me, but my husband as well throughout my labor. She helped me through different laboring positions and provided advice on how to keep my labor progressing. I also truly appreciated that she is a massage therapist because she was able to massage different pressure points I experienced during labor that really helped me with managing my pain. When things "got real" during labor, she provided emotional support to me and my husband that made all the difference in the world because he was able to better support me by having someone to have his back as well. I truly cannot recommend Kim enough for whatever birth you're planning to have because she truly cared for mine and my husband's interests and was there for us through every single step of the way. She even came to check on us in the hospital afterward and came to our house for a 2 week post-partum visit. Thank you, Kim!! —VC
It was a very easy decision for us to ask Kim to be our doula after continuing a relationship with her when she was our doula with our first son in 2022. This time around she supported me during pregnancy with information and questions I should be asking myself and my midwife and by giving me peace and ideas to kick off labor when my due date came and went. What sticks out with me the most though is how above and beyond Kim supported us in the last week of my pregnancy. We had a very unfortunate experience with our hospital (not in BCS) a week before our son was born and I know our experience would’ve been completely different if Kim wouldn’t have been there to support us and pray with us while we were making some major decisions. Her wisdom, faith, professionalism, and kindness gave us peace and confidence to state what we needed and wanted in our birth experience. We ended up leaving the hospital and throughout the next week she continued to be on call and check in on us. When I actually went into labor Kim met us at the hospital extremely quickly and helped to support me with pain management and positions to increase the effectiveness of my contractions. She was so helpful, in fact, that our son was born an hour and a half after we all got there! If it weren’t for Kim we would’ve had a completely different birth and experience, and I’m just so grateful we got the safe, peaceful, intervention free birth we did with her help.

Kim was there for my first baby’s birth, and she was my first call when we foundout we were having a second baby. Her presence is so soothing and comforting, yet she knows when to take charge of the situation. She really took the time to understand me and my birth plan so that she could be the go between with thenurses, and so she could be there for me how I needed her. Her physical and emotional support really made both of my births amazing. Even if your birth plan goes a little askew, she’s there to help with alternatives and make sure you fully understand what that means. I can’t recommend Kim enough to any pregnant mama. She becomes more than a doula through this experience - she becomes family.

After meeting Kim through our Birth Boot Camp classes, my husband and I knew that we needed to hire her as our doula for the birth of our first child! We would hire her 100 times over if we needed to! Kim was the best support and source of encouragement leading up to labor. She was always a text or call away to answer my questions or speak peace over my concerns. When I did go into labor she was glued to the phone answering my questions through the night until she came over to our house at 4 am! Kim was with us every step of the way as we headed to the birth center later that morning. She was a helping hand, steady voice, and a source of peace and calm through each contraction. Kim helped me get into different labor positions, offered counter pressure, and wisely reminded me to eat, drink, and relax my body. After our baby girl finally made her way into the world later that afternoon, my husband and I reflected and both said we could not have brought her earthside without Kim’s help! We are so grateful to call her a friend now and thankful for her support leading up to, during, and after birth.

Kim was our instructor for Birth Boot Camp! Her class was 5 stars and kept me on the edge of my seat each week. It was exciting, entertaining, and informative. When we made the decision that we were going to hire a doula, there was no question that it would be Kim! Kim was hands down one the best investments I’ve ever made. Money well spent. Once my wife started having contractions, she had constant communication with us, and even came to our house before we went to brith center. Once at the birth center Kim fully supported my wife and I and helped with any needs that we had. If my wife had a need Kim was there to serve! When the birth stalled for bit, she made suggestions for maneuvers and exercises that we might not have thought of on our own. Our birth was more stress free and peaceful because Kim was a part of it. I would suggest that everyone hire a doula if possible. I will reiterate that it was the best investment I ever made. And if you have the opportunity to partner with Kim you will not be dissapointed! She is 5 stars all around!

Kim was a tremendous help during my birthing process!! She helped me create a birth plan and gave me tools to stick to my birth plan! My husband and i both appreciated her every step of the way. She came to visit me in the hospital during recovery and has checked on me many times since birth. She is a great person and highly educated in what she does. I recommend her to everyone.
